Drama Club




Purpose

The purpose of Drama Club is to cultivate a love for the theatre in the hearts of young students that endears them to a pursuit of  truth, goodness, and beauty as reflected in the perfect character of God.  This will be done through providing a safe and nurturing environment which students can grow in various theatrical skills as performers.  This will culminate in several performances opportunities which will be open to the public throughout the year

Drama Coach: Drama club is directed by both Headmaster Sidney Henriquez and SCCA Parent Fred Vassallo. Mr. Vassallo is also the Director of HEARKEN Performing Arts, a Christian based Performing Arts School.

Club Meetings:
Every Monday, from 3:15 PM - 4:30 PM beginning November 9th.     

There are two sessions: Fall/Winter and Spring.

Fall/Winter Session run from November through February(11 classes).

Spring Session  runs from March through May(12 classes) .


Grade Level:
Grades 1st – 4th are eligible for membership for Fall/Winter and Spring Sessions.
Grades 5th –9th are eligible for Spring Session Only.

Performance: Each Session will conclude with a showcase performance for family and friends on the last day of class. Fall/Winter Session will have two smaller performances of a classic fable, fairytale, poem, or Greek myth. The first will be on Dec. 14th and the second performance on Feb. 22nd. Spring Session will conclude with a longer length performance to be performed on May 24th.
